Quantitative elemental analysis technique of powdery geological samples on a laser mass spectrometer
Description
A method was developed of quantitative elemental analysis of geological samples for B,Sc,V,Sr,Y,Zr,Nb,Mo,Cs,Th,U,rare earths, etc. on a laser mass spectrometer EMAL-2. Optimal conditions for pressing and for radiation action on the target were found. Experimental relative sensitivity coefficients for elements with the first atom ionization potentials of 4.5<φ<9.5 eV coincide with those calculated on the basis of the kinetic model of ion creation in the laser plasma
