Description
The earlier and recent evolution of the relationship between electron spectroscopy and electromagnetic isotope separation is briefly surveyed. The main features of the experimental methods and techniques used at Orsay for the preparation of radioactive sources needed for electron spectroscopy are briefly described as well as a few typical experimental results obtained with such methods. Finally the present status and future prospects in this research field are discussed. (Auth.)
