Output characteristics of TEA CO2 laser with uv-preionization by trigger wire discharge
Description
To achieve the uniform discharge between the Chang's profile solid electrodes, uv-preionization by trigger wire discharge is employed. Dependence of laser output on gas mixing ratio, charging voltage, and addition of seed gas is investigated and the optimum operation is obtained. Peak power, pulse energy, and overall efficiency of the laser output is 0.6 MW, 240 mJ, and 4.2% respectively. Transverse pattern of the laser output beam is observed to be TEM00 mode at the electrode separation of 20 mm. (author)
