Source size measurements for heavy ions collisions at intermediate energies from particle correlations

  • 1. Institut des Sciences Nucleaires de Grenoble, UIF-IN2P3, 38026 Grenoble Cedex (France)

Description

Nuclear source sizes can be determined by measuring the correlation of light charged particles at small relative momentum. This is achieved by constructing a correlation function and analyzing it in the framework of final state interaction models. If numerous results are now published, questions still remained addressed. This paper discusses some of these problems using results of measurements performed on light heavy ion reactions at intermediate energies
