Description

Cross sections for the formation of Nem+ (m=1-10) and Sim+ (m=1-14) ions by electron impact on the neutral atoms have been calculated using the previously introduced semi-classical Deutsch-Maerk (DM) formalism. Our calculated cross sections for the formation of Ne++ and Ne5+ are compared with available experimental and theoretical data. (author)
