Use of the Fricke dosemeter for comparative measurements in clinical practice

Description
The Fricke dosemeter was used for comparative measurements of absorbed doses in a 60Co beam at several radiotherapeutical units in Czechoslovakia, under contract with the IAEA, Vienna. In all cases the results showed deviations of less than 10%. On the initiative of the Committee of Radiophysics of the Czech Oncological Society the first step was taken for improving the possibilities offered for comparing the therapeutical procedures used and results obtained by different radiotherapeutical units.
