Description
The technique of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) has been utilized to study the defect centres formed in gamma irradiated CaSO4:Dy,Na thermoluminescent (TL) phosphor. Several defect centres like SO4-, SO3-and SO2- have been observed. The paramagnetic and thermal properties of these defect centres are discussed in relation to the observed thermoluminescence in CaSO4:Dy,Na. (author). 12 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab
