Description

A remote operated control arm for powered manipulators is described. It includes an assembly allowing several movements with position sensors for each movement. The number of possible arm movements equals the number of possible manipulator movements. The control systems may be interrupted as required. One part of the arm is fitted with a system to lock it with respect to another part of the arm without affecting the other movements, so long as the positions of the manipulator and the arm have not been brought into complete coincidence. With this system the locking can be ended when complete concordance is achieved

Abstract (French)

On presente un bras de commande pour manipulateur motorise et commande a distance. Il comprend un ensemble permettant plusieurs mouvements et des capteurs de position pour chaque mouvement. Le nombre de mouvements possibles du bras est egal au nombre de mouvements possibles du manipulateur. Les asservissements peuvent etre interrompus a volonte. Une des parties du bras est pourvue de moyens permettant de la bloquer par rapport a une autre partie du bras independamment des autres mouvements, tant que les positions du manipulateur et du bras n'ont pas ete amenees en concordance complete. Ces moyens permettent de faire cesser le blocage quand la concordance complete est obtenue
