Description

Diglycolamides, 1, 3-dialkylcalix--arene crown 6 and crown ethers are the popular choice for the extraction of radioactive fission and activation products from nuclear waste streams. Again the preorganization of diglycolamide arms over supramolecular frame work of different calixarenes make them more efficient ligand which are reported in the recent literature but the preorganization of crown ring and diglycolamide arm (s) simultaneously in the same supramolecular frame work is yet to be explored. In this work, a Calix--arene-crown-6 with 1, 3 alternate diglycolamide arm (CC6-DDGA). It has been synthesized and characterized by FTIR, NMR and MALDI-TOF techniques
