Thermoelectric efficiency of solid solutions of TlInTe2-TlPrTe2 system

Description
Thermoelectric efficiency of alloys of TlInTe2-TlPrTe2 system is studied. It is shown that the efficiency of solid solutions of TlInTe2-TlPrTe2 system can be considerably increased in case of partial substitution of In atoms for Pr atoms, as well as in the range of solid solutions based on TlInTe2: their coefficient of thermoelectric efficiency is rather high even at room temperature. Since with the temperature growth the coefficients of thermo-e.m.f. and electric conducivity increase and heat conductivity decreases, it is possible to create rather perspective materials with high coefficients of thermoelectric efficiency
