Results from the phase III of the IAEA coordinated research programme ''optimizing of reactor pressure vessel surveillance programmes and their analysis''
- 1. Nuclear Research Inst. Rez plc, Rez (Czech Republic). Div. of Integrity and Materials
Description
Main results from the IAEA CRP, Phase III on Irradiation Embrittlement of RPV steels is presented. Main effort was directed to the study of impurity (copper, phosphorus) as well as nickel effects in ASTM A 533-B and A 508 steels. Analysis of these effects in special melted steels as well as in commercially manufactured plates, forgings and weldments are presented. Comparison of embrittlement effects (transition temperature shifts) are compared with those predicted by US NRC Reg. Guide 1.99, French and German Codes and Rules. (author). Figs
