Distribution of major and trace elements in the waters of main rivers of Tajikistan

The object of research is major nd trace elements, dissolved in water of main rivers of Tajikistan. The purpose of research is analysis, systematization and interpretation of data collected through measurement of physicochemical parameters of waters and dissolved metals in the waters of main rivers of Tajikistan. The distribution patterns of major and trace elements in the water of the main rivers of Tajikistan were identified; seasonal variations of physicochemical parameters of waters and variations in the content of dissolved metals in the waters of certain rivers were examined; a positive effect of Kayrakkum water reservoir on water quality of Syr-Darya River in its middle section was identified; assessment of water quality of Amu-Darya and Syr-Darya Rivers at borders of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was made; using the limiting health hazard indicator, assessment of water quality in the main rivers of Tajikistan with several toxic metals in the waters was made.
