Temperature dependence of nuclear symmetry energy

  • 1. Physics Dept., The Univ. of Burdwan, Burdwan (India)
  • 2. Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta (India)

Description

The temperature dependence of the symmetry energy co-efficient was explored by using Bethe-Weizsaecker nuclear binding energy formula and assumed complete isospin symmetry and neglected shell effects. It is then easy to see that the negative binding energy difference between two isobars is equal to the symmetry energy difference
