Effect of collisions on scattering of neutrons with large energy transfer in monoatomic gases
Description
The asymptotic behaviour of the dynamic form-factor of a monoatomic gas is investigated in the limit Ω much greater than qvT. The corresponding contribution can be expressed in terms of the cross section for scattering of atoms by each other. It is proportional to Ω-6 if the gas consists of identical atoms and to Ω-4 for a mixture of gases
