Proposal for high-current bunched-beam acceleration in electron linac
Description
A butterfly ring, in which a high current of a bunched beam is accumulated after a buncher system in an electron linac, is proposed. This beam is extracted from the ring, and can be bunched and accelerated to high energy at a succeeding buncher system and acceleration section. This high-energy beam is applicable as a high-current beam of nanosecond pulse duration. (author)
