Optical studies of Uhuru sources. VI. Photoelectric photometry of HD 153919 = 2U 1700-37
Description
Photoelectric observations of HD 153919, the optical candidate for the X-ray source 2U 1700-37, have revealed regular intensity variations with a period consistent with the 3.412-day X-ray period. The optical light curve shows two maxima and two minima every 3.4 days with a total visual amplitude of 0.08 mag. No changes in color were observed. Subject headings: binaries - variable stars - X-ray sources
