On a family of new string actions
Description
A family of bose string actions, which contains Polyakov's one as a particular case, is constructed. Every member of the family is classically and semiclassically equivalent to the already known bose string actions (those of Nambu [4], Eguchi [5], Brink et al. [6] and Polyakov [7]). (orig.)
