Relationship of fracture toughness to fractographic characteristics of brittle fractures in heat treatable steel
Description
Test temperature is studied for its effect on the fracture toughness and fractographic characteristics of fractures under development of thermal brittleness. It is established that temperature dependence KIc in the region of brittle failures is closely related to the changes in the extent of brittle and ductile zones as well as to the share of pit failure
