Description
This paper describes the available packaging and transportation systems for shipments of radioactive material. The conclusion is that the current technology is adequate to meet the present transportation requirements of an evolving industry. This evolution is also apparent in the certication testing of packages where tests, based on transportation accident data, are being formulated and evaluated; a brief review is included. 17 figures, 7 tables
