Description
Solid Cr-(1-15 % Y) coatings more than 1 μm thick have been produced by ion-assisted deposition from low-pressure arc discharge plasma. It is shown that the coatings consist of submicron sized chromium crystallites and nanocrystalline yttrium particles located along chromium crystal boundaries
