Microstructure of ZrC layer for HTR coated particles
Creators

Description
ZrC coating layer of coated fuel particle is successfully deposited in CVD fluidized bed. The aim of this work is to characterize the microstructure and nanostructure of ZrC layer, such as the grain size, contents and grain boundary. The analysis results show that the coated layer is a homogeneous structure with 20 nm fine grain. The ZrC is a fcc crystal with a Zr-C bonding which ratio of Zr/C is near to 1:1. (authors)
