Complex formation during molybdenum chlorination in DMF medium

Description
Solutions formed in the course of molybdenum chlorination by gaseous chlorine in dimethylformamide medium were studied by the methods of IR spectroscopy and ESR. Existence of Mo(VI) diamagnetic complexes and Mo(V) paramagnetic complexes of the composition R2[MoOCl5], where R-[(CH3)2NCOH2]+ (I), [(CH3)2NH2]+ (II), in the solution was demonstrated. Formation of dimethylsubstituted ammonium chloride as a result of hydrolysis of complex II was ascertained

Методами ИК-спектроскопии и ЭПР исследованы растворы, образующиеся в процессе хлорирования молибдена газообразным хлором в среде диметилформамида. Показано существование в растворе диамагнитных комплексов Mo(VI) и парамагнитных комплексов Mo(V) состава R2[MoOCl5], где R-[(CH3)2NCOH2]+ (I), [(CH3)2NH2]+ (II).
