Microscopic calculations and liquid-drop nuclear model

Description
Global structure of nuclear energy surface is discussed basing on two-parameter variational calculations made for sixty nuclei with filled proton and neutron shells. A two-parameter interpolation formula is suggested. Comparison with the standard liquid-drop nuclear model is made. Interpolation formulas are written for mean-square radii of neutron and proton distributions in neutron excess nuclei
