comparative studies on radioisotopic labeling of some organic compounds with radioactive iodine

Description

this thesis deals with the investigation of optimum conditions for labeling some organic compounds with iodine-125 . electrophilic radioiodination of (dapsone (DDS) and dopamine DA)) was carried out by using two oxidizing agents such as chloramine-t and iodogen. the factors affecting the percent of the radiochemical yield such as substrate concentration, ph, oxidizing agent concentration and reaction temperature were studied. 1-optimization of the radiochemical yield reached 96% for 125 IDDS(when the reaction mixture was heated at 100 degree for 15 min at ph=2. the biodistribution studies reflect the lipophilicity nature of the tracer and excreted via liver. the uptake of 125 IDDS tracer by two types of the inflammation were higher than the uptake by normal muscle all over the time post injection.2- Dopamine was labeled successfully with iodine-125 via electrophilic substitution reaction.3-IPIMQ was labeled with iodine-125 successfully 4-The labeling of dibromo Evan's was difficult
