Threshold resolution of measured sample signal count rate from background in compensating connection

Expressions are derived for the threshold resolution of signal count rate of the measured sample from radiation background, this for compensating measuring methods, i.e., methods in which the count rate of the main channel background is offset by the count rate of the compensating channel background.
