Nuclear reactor with a circulating primary coolant fluid by composite convection
Description
The description is given of a fast neutron reactor with a suspended vessel, a primary circuit of the liquid metal filling the vessel circulating through the core in an ascending direction and a secondary circuit of a fluid brought into flow by pumps outside the reactor vessel. The primary and secondary fluids exchange heat in intermediate exchangers distributed on the periphery of the vessel. A deflector is placed around the core to deflect the liquid metal coming from the core so that the flow of primary fluid in the intermediate exchangers is carried out by natural convection

On decrit un reacteur nucleaire a neutrons rapides comportant une cuve suspendue, un circuit primaire du metal liquide remplissant la cuve circulant au travers du coeur dans le sens ascendant et un circuit secondaire d'un fluide mis en circulation par des pompes exterieures a la cuve du reacteur, le fluide primaire et le fluide secondaire echangeant des calories dans des echangeurs intermediaires repartis a la peripherie de la cuve. Un deflecteur entoure le coeur pour devier le metal liquide sortant du coeur de facon que la circulation du fluide primaire, dans les echangeurs intermediaires s'effectue par convection naturelleAdditional details
