Effect of defectiveness of the microstructure on the electrophysical properties of pyrolytic zirconium carbide with a near-stoichiometric composition

  • 1. Institute of High Temperatures, Academy of Sciences of the USSR

Description

A comparison is made between measurements of electrical resistivity and reluctance of different specimens of pyrolytic zirconium carbide with a nearstoichiometric composition. The comparison shows that the scatter of the electrophysical properties of the carbides is connected not only with different contents of impurities in the specimens, but also with a significant difference in the defectiveness of the microstructure of the specimens
