Possibilities for peaceful nuclear explosives

Description
If peaceful uses of nuclear explosives become possible they could offer dramatic benefits. This explains the world-wide interest which has been aroused, and the investigations being made by the Agency in accordance with references made in the Non-Proliferation Treaty. In this article Bernard I. Spinrad, Director of the Division of Nuclear Power and Reactors, summarizes information at present available. (author)
