Description

Photon emission by electrons, pair production and elementary particle decay (π → μ(e)+ν; μ+- → e+- + ν +ν tilde; π+- → π0 + e+- + ν) in the field of an electromagnetic wave which is a superposition of two monochromatic waves of different frequencies moving in the same direction are considered. A technique for calculating probabilities of the processes is developed on the basis of the solutions of the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations. Results of numerical calculations of the probabilities are presented for certain values of the invariant field-dependent parameters. The dependences of the quantum effect probabilities on the characteristics of the external field, first of all, on the polarization mode, are discussed. The technique proposed may be easily extended to the case of more than two monochromatic waves, that is of vital importance for multifrequency lasers
