Excited baryons in the Skyrme model

Creators

  • 1. Physics Dept., State Univ. of New York at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY (USA)

Description

In the Skyrme model the nucleon is viewed as a soliton in the field of pions. In this framework, it is possible to obtain detailed predictions on the properties of the nonstrange baryon resonances. A brief account of the recent results on pion-nucleon scattering in the Skyrme model is presented
