Description
Forest fires in the contaminated areas may increase the concentration of radioactive substances in the air close to the source as well as at large distances. The model of the atmospheric transport of radioactive aerosols and their loss due to dry deposition is presents in the article. The density of contamination of radioactive fallout over long distances (5-10 km) is comparable to the background values in the paper. (authors)
