Hadroproduction of charmonium states
Description
The production of various charmonium states (J/ψ, Xc1, Xc2, and ψ(2S)) in 515 GeV/c π-N interactions in the Feynman x region 0.1 ≤ xF ≤ 0.8 is discussed. The fraction of directly produced J/ψs and the fraction of J/ψs due to ψ(2S) and Xc meson decays is presented as well as the ratio of the production cross sections for Xc1 and Xc2. These results are compared with next-to-leading order QCD expectations. (author)
