Study of solids by submillimetre-wave interferometry
Description
Spectroscopy in the submillimetre-wave region has developed rapidly over the past few years owing to advances in interferometric and other techniques. In this paper some of recent advances in this field are reviewed and the application of interferometry in the submillimetre range to problems in lattice dynamics especially through the study of photon-phonon interactions and the submillimetre-wave spectra of pure single, imperfect and mixed crystals, is described.
