Description

This paper presents the correlation between the experimental and AGRCOR code results of three-dimensional multi-layer brick arrays. These arrays consisted of one, two or four layers of fuel bricks, and three, five or nine layers of interstitial bricks respectively. They were excited using sine-sweep, sine-dwell or earthquake motion applied in the X axis. The sensitivity of brick response to various code input parameters is also presented. Experimental/code results were compared in terms of velocities, forces and resonant frequencies. (orig./HP)
