Faraday MPD generators with various types of plasma flow
Description
A study is presented of a Faraday type magnetoplasmodynamic generator of power-station scale with combustion products in open cycle. By a quasi-onedimensional approach the efficiency is assessed of energy conversion in the dependence on input parameters (stagnation temperature and pressure, Mach number), operation parameters (load factor and magnetic field induction) and output parameters (channel length, Mach number, electric conductance) for convection with a constant Mach number, constant temperature and constant pressure.
