Magnetocaloric effects near room-temperature of Ag-doped La0.833K0.167MnO3 composites
Description
A detailed investigation of the thermodynamic properties of Ag-doped La0.833K0.167MnO3 Composites for possible applications in magnetic refrigeration is presented. The adiabatic magnetic entropy change |ΔS| is determined for a magnetic field change from 0 to 1 T using magnetization data. The Curie temperature (TC) increases with the metal Ag added and shifts to room temperature. A peak behavior of the entropy change is observed with a maximum absolute value 1.86 J/kg K near room temperature for Ag-doped sample. It is shown that the large magnetic entropy change associated with the ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition.
