Precision, accuracy, and fading characteristics of calcium fluoride dysprosium activated thermoluminescent dosimeters (CaF2: Dy TLD'S)

Description

CaF2:Dy TLD-200, G-2 cards were evaluated to determine their suitability for measuring background radiation. All laboratory exposures utilized an automatic strontium -90 Beta source calibration unit. This calibration unit is part of the Harshaw Model 2271 Automated Personnel Monitoring System which was used in the analysis of the G-2 cards. The parameters evaluated were: (1) precision and accuracy; (2) reproducibility; (3) linearity of response; and (4) fading
