Recent results on solar neutrinos from Kamiokande
- 1. Institute for Cosmic Ray Research, Tanashi, Tokyo (Japan)
Description
Results are presented on the event rate and time variation of solar neutrinos, obtained with the Kamiokande water-Cerenkov detector. The solar neutrino flux with Eν ≥ 7.5 MeV was 46 ± 5 ± 6% of the prediction given by Bahcall and Ulrich. This is significantly different from the value (27 ± 4%) given by the Homestake experiment. Time variation of the solar neutrino flux was not observed within statistical errors for Eν ≥ 7.5 MeV. (orig.)
