Enthalpy of formation of melts in Si-B system
Description
Method of high-temperature calorimetry is used to determine excess formation enthalpies of melts in Si-B system with boron content from 0 to 0.40 at. fraction at the temperature of 1873 K. The obtained dependences testify to the fact that Si-B melts don't obey regularities for diluted solutions. In the region of boron initial concentrations (up to 17 at. fraction) the excess enthalpy is above zero and solution formation is defined by the entropy factor
