Description

Food is an important source of radionuclide intake and, for this reason, an important source of human exposure to radiation. Soil provides, in addition to radionuclides, other mineral elements and water for plant growth. The cultivation method can influence the radionuclide activity concentration (AC) in foods. The increased intake of radionuclides may increase the possibility of harm to health, which can be measured by the risk of developing solid cancer (CR). The objective of this work is to compare the CR due to the intake of foods from conventional and organic cultivation
