Dynamic behaviour of nuclear power plant in a grid
Description
Variations in demand for power supply from a power grid are reflected through a conventional turbine generator in the steam cycle of the nuclear power reactor incorporated in the grid. The steam cycle behaviour affects the reactor parameters which in turn reflect in the change of reactivity giving rise to many problems which are discussed with special reference to BWR and PHWR type reactors.
