Description

Argillaceous clay is considered as the suitable clay based host rock for disposal of nuclear high level waste worldwide. Kadapa argillite (in Telengana) has recently been identified for the possible clay rock based repository in India and is under evaluation for its properties. In the present study, clay matrix has been thoroughly characterized and evaluated for its metal ion sorption properties. (author)
