Reactor line HTR: The unbeloved safety

Description

The present state of HTR development in the Federal Republic of Germany is described. This development has reached a critical point. According to the Federal Government, the HTR follow-up project ought to be financed by the industry, where this idea is meeting with resistance. Once again, the article on hand deals with the advantages and technological opportunitites presented by this reactor line. At the same time, however, reasons are given why the HTR would find it hard to conquer the market. (UA)

Es wird der augenblickliche Status der HTR-Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland beschrieben. Diese Entwicklung ist an einem kritischen Punkt angelangt. Die Finanzierung des HTR-Folgeprojektes sollte nach Ansicht der Bundesregierung von der Wirtschaft getragen werden - wo allerdings ein deutlicher Widerstand zu spueren ist. Der vorliegende Aufsatz behandelt noch einmal die Vorteile, die technischen Moeglichkeiten dieser Reaktorlinie, fuehrt aber zugleich die Gruende dafuer an, warum es der HTR sehr schwer haben duerfte, sich am Markt durchzusetzen.
