Combined action of gamma - and He-Ne laser irradiation on the mould strain Humicola lutea 72 producer of acid proteinase

Description
The effect of He-Ne laser ia radiation on the survival of the preliminary treated with gamma-rays spores of Humicola lutea 72 producing acid proteinase has been studied. It was found that the survival of the spores decreased due to above mentioned irradiation can be increased after irradiation with the laser. There is sufficient ground to belive that the laser irradiation activates the reparation system of the cells and could, therefore, be quite useful as radioprotective tool. Studies on the proteolytic activity of the variants showed that the ( +) forms obtained after treatment with ionisation is radiation only posses the most stable properties followed by those isolated after the combined action of gamma-rays and laser irradiation on the spores. The variants obtained after laser irradiation only reverts to the initial strain.
