Utility development of vendor based fuel management capability
Description
This paper discusses the unique approach adopted by Commonwealth Edison Company (CECo) in acquiring an in-house fuel management capability. It describes CECo's adaptation of the licensed methodology, as well as computer codes, of a fuel vendor (Westinghouse Electric Corporation (Westinghouse)) for its own specific purposes. Also described are the cooperative steps required by Westinghouse and CECo to successfully accomplish the technology transfer
