Description
The study aims at demonstrating the value of postoperative radiation treatment in terms of a definitive radiotherapy in patients who frequently have undergone subtotalsurgery. Between 1964 and 1985, 23 patients (15 female, 8 male) aged between 3 and 17 years received radiotherapy which employed high-voltage equipment (cobalt-60 teletherapy device, linear accelerator). The authors demonstrate the survival rates achieved and compare these with those obtained by other authors. (orig./MG)

Die vorliegende Arbeit soll einen Beitrag dazu leisten, den Wert einer postoperativen Strahlenbehandlung, die bei den haeufig subtotal operierten Patienten als definitive Strahlenbehandlung angesehen werden kann, darzustellen. Die Strahlentherapie wurde mittels Hochvolttherapiegeraeten (Kobalt-60-Teletherapiegeraet, Linearbeschleuniger) durchgefuehrt.
