About some unsettled problems and accreditation of test/calibration laboratories for radioactivity

Description

Requirements for test laboratories accreditation specified in Bulgarian legislation Bulgarian State Standard ( BSS) EN45001 and BSS45002 are in compliance with the European Standard Series 45000. It is necessary to be found a solution some problems to achieve the latter cited requirements in the process of accreditation of the test laboratories. The following six main problems are discussed in details: 1. Updating laboratories equipment. 2. Establishing of a National Standard for radioactivity. 3. Accreditation of Laboratories for calibration standards test pieces. 4. Developing test methodologies in accordance to the EN45000 and the recommendation 25 ISO/IEC. 5. Organization a system of staff qualification. 6. Creating a data base of accreditation auditors
