Relation of magnetospheric disturbance with parameters of interplanetary medium

Description

The analysis of magnetograms of the world network of stations with account for literature data on different characteristics of magnetospheric disturbance and interplanetary medium is performed. The linear dependence betwe en (Dst)max and ΔFmax - total disturbance vector on polar electrojets is observed. AE index cannot serve as intensity measure of electrojets as at 20nT >/Dst/>50nT they go out of the latitude (Dst)max and ΔFmax are related by linear dependence with lgEmax(E-solar wind electromagnetic energy flux coming into the magnetosphere). Maximum value is epsilon approximately 5x1021 erg. s-1. The solar wind energy transfer into the magnetosphere is related with y-component of the interplanetary electrical field
