Modern experimental techniques used to determine the size and shape of surface defects
Description
Different examples of use of methods to follow crack propagation for the resolution of industrial problems are given. Through this study, one observes that with the help of the techniques briefly presented it is possible to follow the evolution of cracks in a laboratory in any structure and to foresee, with a numerical simulation, the propagation of these cracks

Divers exemples d'utilisation des methodes de suivi de propagation des fissures pour la resolution de problemes industrials sont donnes. A travers cette etude on observe qu'a l'aide des techniques brievement presentees et de leurs nombreuses variantes, il est possible de suivre l'evolution en laboratoire des fissures dans une structure quelconque, puis de prevoir, a l'aide d'un calcul, la progression de ces fissuresAdditional details
