Self-field effect of critical current of high temperature superconductors

Description
The critical state equation for an infinite superconductor slab was resolved by self-consistent method, while the self-field effect of critical current was taken into account. Functional expression for average critical current density of the slab was gained. The dependence of self-field effect on magnetic field and sample dimension was analysed. Dimension effect of average critical current density was also discussed
